The ADvantage Waiver program is a long-term care program that provides Medicaid funded home and community based services to frail elders and adults with physical disabilities. ADvantage is a program of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) through its Aging Services Division and is administered by the Long Term Care Authority (LTCA).
Eligibility for the ADvantage program requires that you are a resident of Oklahoma, 65 years of age or older and in frail health, or 21 years of age or older with a physical disability or developmental disability without mental retardation or a cognitive impairment. You must be at nursing home level of care and meet Medicaid financial criteria.
ADvantage services offered through Oxford include case management, personal care and advanced supportive/restorative assistance (ASR) such as ostomy care, bowel program, catheter care, gastronomy, dressings, lift, range of motion and universal precautions.
Oxford HealthCare's Community Care services are offered to seniors 60 years of age or older who live in Tulsa, Creek and Osage counties in northeast Oklahoma. Funding for this program is provided through a federal grant from the Older Americans Act. Eligibility is determined after program staff completes a home assessment. The types of services that are provided include light housekeeping, laundry assistance, weekly grocery shopping and pharmacy pick-up. Under certain conditions, one time or seasonal services may also be available, including one time deep cleaning, brief lawn assistance and small home repairs. Caregivers of frail elderly may also qualify for short-term respite assistance.
