Oxford HealthCare opened its doors 18 years ago. Since 1992 Oxford HealthCare has provided care for more than 10,000 Oklahomans.
How does the agency choose and train their employees?
Are there background checks done?
Yes, thorough background checks are done as well as checking the aide’s references and previous employment.
Does the agency have arrangements in place for emergencies?
Oxford HealthCare has a nurse on call 24 hrs. a day. If there is an emergency Oxford HealthCare’s on-call staff will page the nurse and a phone call will be made to you within 15 minutes.
Are the agency's caregivers available 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week?
Yes, aides are available anywhere from 4 to 24 hours Monday thru Sunday.
Are their employees insured and bonded?
Yes, all Oxford HealthCare employees are insured and bonded.
How quickly can they start services?
It will vary based on employee availability, typically once a referral is made and a home visit has been made, we would be able to staff the consumer within 12-24 hours.
What areas does Oxford HealthCare serve?
Our departments offer services throughout eastern Oklahoma. Health Care Services (Private Duty Care) is available within a 50 mile radius of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Long Term Care services through Medicaid ADvantage are available in most of eastern Oklahoma, while the services provided by the Community Care Department are limited to Tulsa, Creek and Osage counties.

Are families allowed to interview the aides?
All of our aides are interviewed, pre-screened, background checked as well as insured and bonded. We try to find the best fit for your loved one but if for any reason you do not feel comfortable with the aide that is in your home you have the right to request another aide.

What is "respite care"?
Respite care is short-term care that allows the caregiver to take a break from their daily routine. Respite care is an essential part of a caregiver’s well-being. Through Oxford HealthCare’s Community Care Department there are several different respite options.
- Personal Care Respite: This option allows the caregiver 64 hours of respite staffed with Oxford HealthCare’s certified home health aides.
- Respite Vouchers: The caregiver is awarded $400.00 in vouchers. With the voucher option you may choose who you wish to hire.
- Adult Day Services Vouchers: The caregiver is awarded $400.00 to help with the cost of adult day services.
