At Oxford HealthCare we strive to ensure you or your loved one is not hospitalized after an accident, surgery, or health condition.  Based on your physicians order, our skilled, compassionate and caring nursing and therapy staff provide excellent recovery techniques to guarantee the best outcome in the privacy and comfort of your home.  Our Medicare Home Health programs last as long as there is still a medial need in order to build strength, health and independence.

Our team of experienced professionals are composed of Registered Nurses, Home Health Aides, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists and Social Workers. Our areas of expertise include skilled home rehabilitation, prevention of rehospitalisation, chronic disease education and management, as well as strengthening, balance, and fall prevention. Our services can be funded through Medicare, Private Insurance, Workers Comp Insurance and Veterans Administration.

 

q: How many years of experience does Oxford HealthCare have?

Oxford HealthCare opened its doors more than 20 years ago. Since 1992, Oxford HealthCare has provided care for more than 10,000 Oklahomans. 

 

Q: How does the agency choose and train their employees? Do you conduct background checks?

Employees are chosen based upon their compassion, desire to help others, previous experience and education. Thorough background checks are conducted. We also communicate with the aide’s references and previous employment to ensure our employees are top of the line professionals.

 

Q: Does Oxford healthcare have arrangements in place for emergencies?

Oxford HealthCare has a nurse on call 24 hours a day. If there is an emergency, Oxford HealthCare’s on-call staff will page the nurse and a phone call will be made to you within 15 minutes.

 

Q: Is Oxford HealthCare's caregivers available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

Yes, aides are available anywhere from 4 to 24 hours Monday thru Sunday. The amount of time a caregiver will spend with you or your loved one each week depends upon the evaluation of the home assessment.  

 

Q: Are your employees insured and bonded?

Yes, all Oxford HealthCare employees are insured and bonded.

 

Q: How quickly can services start? 

It will vary based upon employee availability. Typically, once a referral and a home visit have been made, we can staff the consumer within 12-24 hours. If your family needs more immediate attention, we are happy to work with you to ensure the best possible care is provided.

 

Q: Are services only offered to the elderly?

Primarily, our services are provided to the elderly. However, we also provide care for the disabled and those affected by work related injuries.

 

Q:How is Oxford healthcare different than other Home HealthCare companies in the area?

It is important that you and your family maintain peace of mind for your loved one receiving care. Q: What payor sources do you accept?

If you or your loved one does not qualify for one of the following payor sources listed below, we have had much experience with families pooling together funds to keep their loved one healthy and independent. If you have any questions regarding the organization of incorporating extended family for funds, we will be happy to introduce payor methods that have worked in the past.

Q: What is respite care?

Respite care is short-term care that allows the caregiver to take a break from their daily routine. Respite care is an essential part of a caregiver’s well-being. Through Oxford HealthCare’s Community Care Department there are several different respite options:

Personal Care Respite: This option allows the caregiver 64 hours of respite staffed with Oxford HealthCare’s certified home health aides.

Respite Vouchers: The caregiver is awarded $400.00 in vouchers. With the voucher option you may choose who you wish to hire.

Adult Day Services Vouchers: The caregiver is awarded $400.00 to help with the cost of adult day services.

 

Q: Are families allowed to interview the aides? 

All of our aides are interviewed, pre-screened and background checked as well as insured and bonded. We try to find the best fit for your loved one. If, for any reason, you do not feel comfortable with the aide that is in your home, you have the right to request another aide.

 

Q: What areas does Oxford HealthCare Serve?

Our departments offer services throughout eastern Oklahoma. Health Care Services (Private Duty Care) is available within a 50-mile radius of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Long Term Care services through Medicaid ADvantage are available in most of eastern Oklahoma. The services provided by the Community Care Department are limited to Tulsa, Creek and Osage counties.

Services vary by area and include the following cities:
